Meet the Founder:
Dr. Jeff Vinokur
WHO IS DR. JEFF? As millions of kids know him, he is the creator of Generation Genius, science videos used in 30% of all elementary schools in America. Before starting Generation Genius, Dr. Jeff performed on dozens of national TV shows like ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s Today Show, Discovery Channel as well as stage shows at the World Science Festival, Singapore Science Festival, and the Smithsonian Institute.
Dr. Jeff started Generation Genius after performing science assemblies at over 400 schools nationwide and realizing that they were using VHS tapes like “Bill Nye the Science Guy” and “The Magic School Bus” from the 1990s. Dr. Jeff assembled a team in Hollywood, CA and together they made over 100 Generation Genius episodes covering every major science topic from K-8.
Dr. Jeff’s science credits include a full scholarship to UCLA where he earned his PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular, and Structural Biology in 2017. He received prestigious fellowships from the National Science Foundation and an impressive track record of research publications studying biofuels.
